Organisational Frame

The supporting organisation of ibms is a non-profit and established association (IBMS e.V.) registered in Frankfurt am Main. The school is recognised (anerkannte Ersatzschule) by the Hessian Ministry of Culture .

Ibms is housed in two modern buildings in the beautiful Westend area of the city of Frankfurt. Child accessible kitchens, work, music and play rooms as well as a sports gymnasium and a library complement the classrooms.

The ibms is a full-day school. The children are given no homework. The school holidays are dictated by the State of Hesse. We have a total of approx. 160 children within the different areas of the school:

  • Nido Groups (under 3 years old)
  • Pre-school Groups (ages 3-5)
  • Infant (Reception) school (ages 5-7)
  • Primary school (ages 7-10)

The school day includes both individual work with the Montessori materials as well as traditional group lessons.

The common language in the Toddlers' and Pre-school groups is English.
